Deleting and rechecking
Acting on what you found, without scanning twice.
Move to Trash
Deleting from DiskPeek puts the item in the macOS Trash, so it is recoverable in the usual way. There is no permanent delete anywhere in the app.
Before it moves anything it checks the item is still the one it scanned, which stops a stale result from deleting the wrong thing if the disk changed underneath you.
The results update immediately
This is the part that made me build the app. The moment something is trashed it disappears from the tree and every folder above it corrects its total. No rescan, no waiting, you see straight away whether it made the dent you hoped for.
Rechecking a folder
If you have been moving things around outside DiskPeek, select a folder and press ⌘R. It rescans just that subtree and splices the new numbers in. The old results stay on screen until the replacement is ready.
